* O-ring for drain plug
* Wooden block or spacer

The procedure for changing the oil in a Peugeot 206 automatic transmission:

1. Prepare the vehicle: Place the vehicle on a level surface and apply the parking brake. Allow the engine and transmission to cool.

2. Locate the drain plug: It is located at the bottom of the transmission oil pan.

3. Place a pan: Place a drain pan under the drain plug to catch the oil.

4. Drain the oil: Using an oil drain wrench, carefully loosen the drain plug. Allow the oil to drain completely into the pan.

5. Replace the pan gasket: When the oil stops leaking, remove the drain plug and replace the old gasket with a new one.

6. Replace the filter (if necessary): Some Peugeot 206 models are equipped with a transmission oil filter. If so, locate and replace the filter according to the manufacturer’s directions.

7. Close the drain plug: Install the drain plug with a new O-ring and tighten it to the recommended torque.

8. Add new oil: Using a funnel, pour the required amount of new oil into the transmission. Usually this is about 3-4 liters.

9. Check the oil level: Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes. Then shift through all gears and return to park mode. Now check the oil level using the dipstick. The level should be between the MIN and MAX marks.

10. Check the oil level again after a week: Drive the car for about 50 km and check the oil level again. Add oil if necessary.
