Required materials and tools:

* Approximately 6 liters of transmission oil meeting ATF LT 71141 specification
* New automatic transmission pan gasket
* New drain plug and washer
*Automatic transmission filter*
* 10 mm hex key
* Flat head screwdriver
* Funnel
* Device for pumping automatic transmission oil (optional, but desirable)
* Clean rags and disposable gloves

Instructions:

1. Preparation

* Prepare the vehicle by placing it on a lift or on a level surface.
* Start the engine and warm it up to operating temperature.
* Shift the gear selector to “P” (park).

2. Drain the old oil

* Locate the drain plug on the automatic transmission pan. It is usually located at the bottom of the tray.
* Place a container under the plug to catch the oil.
* Using a hex wrench, carefully unscrew the drain plug.
*Wait until the oil has completely drained. It may take about 30 minutes.
* Wipe the drain plug and pan with a clean cloth.

3. Filter replacement (if necessary)

* Find the automatic transmission filter, it is usually located in the automatic transmission pan.
*Using a flathead screwdriver, carefully pry the filter out of the tray.
* Reinstall the new filter. Make sure it is aligned correctly.

4. Cleaning the tray

* Wipe the automatic transmission pan with a clean cloth to remove any remaining oil and dirt.
* Install a new pan gasket.

5. Installation of the pallet

* Reinstall the automatic transmission pan and tighten all the bolts.

6. Filling with new oil

* Using a funnel, pour new oil into the automatic transmission. Add about 4 liters.
* Start the engine and let it idle for a few minutes.

7. Checking the oil level (if there is no device for pumping oil)

* Check the oil level using the automatic transmission dipstick.
*Add more oil as needed to reach the “HOT” mark.

8. Oil pumping (if equipped)

* Connect the oil pumping device to the automatic transmission cooling fittings.
* Start the engine and follow the device manufacturer’s instructions.
* Pump the oil until clean oil flows.

9. Topping up and checking the oil level

*Add oil if necessary until the “HOT” mark on the dipstick is reached.
* Check the oil level after a few days to ensure it is within the acceptable range.

Note:

* It is recommended to change the automatic transmission oil and filter on a regular basis, in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations.
* For cars with high mileage, a partial oil change with transmission flushing may be required.
*If you are unsure of your abilities, have a qualified mechanic perform this procedure.
