Occupational safety instructions for a car electrician

1. General safety requirements

* Persons who have undergone training, labor safety instruction, medical examination and certification are allowed to perform work as a car electrician.
* A car electrician must comply with internal labor regulations, electrical safety and fire safety rules.
* Electrical tools and machines must be in good working order and meet the requirements.
* The tool must be stored in the designated place.
* Damaged instruments should be replaced.
* The workplace of a car electrician must be illuminated in accordance with existing standards.

2. Safety requirements before starting work

* Wear special clothing, safety shoes and personal protective equipment (insulating gloves, goggles, etc.).
* Check the serviceability of the workplace, tools and equipment.
* If necessary, disconnect the vehicle from power.

3. Safety requirements during operation

* Observe electrical safety rules.
* Do not allow equipment and mechanisms to be switched on without protective grounding and means to prevent emergency switching on.
* When working with electrical wiring and equipment, use appropriate tools with insulated handles.
* If the insulation on a wire or cable is damaged, immediately turn off the power and replace it.
* At the intersections of electrical wiring with steel pipes or structures, install protective sleeves.
* Do not work outdoors during strong winds, rain, snowfall and thunderstorms.
* Maintain order in the workplace.

4. Safety requirements in emergency situations

* If a fire occurs, turn off the power to the vehicle, use fire extinguishing agents and call the fire department.
* In case of electric shock, provide first aid to the victim and call for medical assistance.
* If injured, seek medical attention immediately.

5. Safety requirements after completion of work

* Disconnect equipment and machinery from the network.
* Clean up your work area and remove all tools.
* Take off overalls and safety shoes.
* Report all detected deficiencies and malfunctions to the shift supervisor (foreman).

For violation of the requirements of these instructions, the car electrician is liable in accordance with current legislation.
