Tools and materials:

* New transmission filter
* New transmission pan gasket
* Drain plug gasket
* Sealant for transmission pan
* Key or socket with 13 mm and 19 mm wrench
* 6 mm hex key
* Flat head screwdriver
* Torx T30

Instructions:

1. Remove the engine protection. If it is installed.

2. Drain the automatic transmission oil.
– Place a pan under the transmission drain hole.
– Unscrew the drain plug with a 19 mm wrench and drain the oil into the pan.

3. Remove the transmission pan.
– Unscrew the pan mounting bolts with a 13 mm wrench.
– Carefully remove the pan, being careful not to spill any remaining oil.

4. Replace the automatic transmission filter.
– Unscrew the filter mounting bolts with a 6 mm hex key and remove the filter.
– Install the new filter and tighten the mounting bolts.

5. Clean the pan and install a new gasket.
– Clean the pan of any remaining oil and old gasket.
– Install a new gasket on the pan.

6. Install the transmission pan.
– Apply sealant to the joint between the pan and the gearbox.
– Reinstall the pan and tighten the mounting bolts with a 13 mm wrench.

7. Install a new drain plug gasket.
– Clean the drain plug and threads on the gearbox.
– Install a new gasket on the plug and tighten the plug with a 19 mm wrench.

8. Fill in new automatic transmission oil.
– Fill the manufacturer’s recommended oil into the dipstick hole.
– Check the oil level and add if necessary.

9. Install engine protection. If it was removed.

10. Carry out a test drive.
– Drive the vehicle and go through all gears to ensure that the transmission and filter are working properly.

Notes:

* According to the manufacturer’s recommendation, it is recommended to change the automatic transmission filter every 60,000 km.
* Do not overtighten the mounting bolts.
* Use only high quality gear oil recommended by the vehicle manufacturer.
* If you are not confident in your abilities, it is better to contact a professional mechanic.
