Tools and materials:

*Transmission Tool Kit
* Transmission fluid (corresponding to the type of your automatic transmission)
* New oil filter
* Seals and gaskets
* One hundred ring remover
* Torque wrench
* Car stand

Repair process:

1. Preparing the car

* Place the vehicle on a level surface and set the parking brake.
* Raise the vehicle using a jack and stands to ensure safe access to the underside.

2. Draining transmission fluid

* Locate the transmission pan and remove the drain plug.
* Drain the liquid into the pan.
* Remove the pan and replace the oil filter.

3. Removing the automatic transmission

* Disconnect the battery.
* Disconnect the wiring harness connectors from the transmission.
* Disconnect the transmission oil lines.
* Remove the torque booster.
* Support the transmission with a jack.
* Remove the transmission mounting bolts.
* Carefully lower the transmission from its seat.

4. Disassembling the automatic transmission

* Remove the drive and driven drums.
* Disassemble the hydraulic unit, replacing faulty solenoids or valves.

5. Automatic transmission assembly

* Reassemble the transmission in reverse order using new seals and gaskets.
*Ensure that all components are properly installed and torqued to specifications.

6. Installing an automatic transmission on a car

* Carefully lift the transmission into place and secure with bolts.
* Install the oil lines and connect the harness connectors.
* Install the torque booster and transmission pan.

7. Filling with transmission fluid

* Fill the transmission with the appropriate amount of new transmission fluid.
* Check the fluid level using the dipstick.

8. Installing the battery and checking operation

* Install the battery and start the engine.
* Shift gears to ensure the transmission is operating properly.

9. Test drive

* Take the vehicle for a test drive to evaluate its performance under real-world driving conditions.
*Note for any unusual noises, vibrations, or leaks.
