Changing automatic transmission oil with a unit on a Hyundai Solaris

You will need:

* Automatic transmission oil change device
* Transmission fluid (ATF) for Hyundai Solaris (volume depends on the automatic transmission model)
* Automatic transmission pan gasket
* Automatic transmission filter (if required, not all automatic transmission models have a replaceable filter)
* Keys and screwdrivers

Warning: Changing the automatic transmission oil should only be performed by a qualified specialist or in a car service center with the appropriate equipment.

Operating procedure:

1. Prepare the car. Place the car on a level surface. Turn off the engine and let it cool. Place wheel chocks under the wheels.

2. Raise the car. Raise the car on a lift or using a jack and stands.

3. Remove the engine protection (if equipped). The engine protection may interfere with access to the automatic transmission pan. Unscrew the bolts securing the protection and remove it.

4. Unscrew the drain plug. Locate the drain plug on the automatic transmission pan. Place the drain pan under the plug and unscrew it using a wrench.

5. Drain the old oil. Allow the old oil to drain into the drain pan. Clean the drain plug and reinstall it. Tighten the drain plug to the specified torque.

6. Remove the automatic transmission pan. Unscrew the bolts securing the automatic transmission pan. Remove the pan carefully as there may be some oil left in it.

7. Replace the pan gasket. Remove the old gasket from the pan and clean the seating surfaces. Install a new gasket on the pan.

8. Replace the automatic transmission filter (if required). If the automatic transmission model has a replaceable filter, unscrew the filter mounting bolts and remove the old filter. Install the new filter and tighten the mounting bolts.

9. Install the automatic transmission oil change machine. Connect the hoses of the device to the drain and filling holes of the automatic transmission.

10. Start the device. Fill the machine with new oil and start it up. The device will pump out old oil from the automatic transmission and replace it with new one.

11. Bring the oil level to normal. Check the oil level using the automatic transmission dipstick and bring it up to normal if necessary.

12. Install the automatic transmission pan. Reinstall the automatic transmission pan and tighten the fastening bolts.

13. Connect the automatic transmission connector. Connect the electrical connector to the automatic transmission if it was disconnected.

14. Install engine protection (if equipped). Reinstall the engine protection and tighten the mounting bolts.

15. Start the engine. Start the engine and let it idle for a few minutes to circulate fresh oil through the automatic transmission.

16. Check the oil level. Check the oil level in the automatic transmission again using the dipstick and make sure that it is within the normal range.
