Visual inspection:

* Check the level and condition of the transmission fluid: it should be transparent, without a burning smell and have a sufficient level.
* Inspect the transmission for leaks, cracks or other damage.
* Check the condition of friction discs, solenoids and valves, if possible.

Road test:

* Start driving and evaluate how the transmission changes gears. She should do this smoothly, without jerking or slipping.
* Accelerate and brake to check if the gears operate correctly.
*Try driving uphill: the transmission must downshift to provide sufficient power.
*Check manual mode switching (if available): it should be smooth and precise.

Electronic diagnostics:

* Connect the OBD scanner to the vehicle’s diagnostic port.
*Check for transmission related fault codes.
* Perform a solenoid flow test to check the operation of the solenoid valves.

Other signs:

* Grinding or humming noise when shifting gears.
* Gear slipping or difficult to engage.
* Loss of power or deviation in fuel consumption.
* Delay when changing gears.
* Engine speed is too high or low at certain speeds.

Additional tips:

* It is recommended to carry out the test at a car service center that has the appropriate equipment and experienced specialists.
* Maintain the transmission regularly, changing the transmission fluid and filter according to the manufacturer’s recommendations.
* Avoid aggressive driving and sudden acceleration, which can damage the transmission.
