Actions in case of an electrical fire in a car:

1. Stop in a safe place.
2. Turn off the engine and remove the key from the ignition.
3. Get out of the car and keep your distance from it.
4. Call the fire service on 101.
5. Open the hood, but do not open it completely. Leave a small gap for smoke to escape.
6. Take a fire extinguisher (if your car has one) and point it towards the fire. Don’t get too close to the fire.
7. Apply a short burst of fire extinguisher (about 2 seconds), then step back and wait a few seconds.
8. Repeat steps 7 and 8 until the fire is extinguished.
9. Close the hood after the fire is extinguished.
10. Wait for the firefighters to arrive and inform them about the incident.

Precautions:

* Do not extinguish fires with water as this may result in electric shock.
* Do not get too close to a burning car.
* Be careful when opening the hood as flames may escape.
*If you do not have a fire extinguisher, use another fire extinguishing material such as sand or soil.
* Don’t panic and act quickly.
* Check your vehicle’s electrical wiring regularly and correct any problems to reduce the risk of fire.
