Spare parts:
* Rear engine mount
* Bolts and nuts (usually supplied with the pad)
* High temperature sealant
Tools:
* Wrench set
* Socket heads
* Ratchet
* Extensions
* Jack
* Car stands
Replacement steps:
1. Raise the car and secure it on stands. Make sure the vehicle is securely supported and cannot fall during operation.
2. Determine the location of the rear engine mount. It is usually located under the engine near the transmission.
3. Unscrew the bolts securing the cushion to the engine. Use a wrench or socket to remove the bolts. It may take some force to loosen them.
4. Remove the old pillow. Gently pull the cushion down to remove it from the engine.
5. Clean the mounting surface. Thoroughly clean the surface of the engine and transmission where the new mount will be attached. Remove any dirt, oil or old cushion residue.
6. Apply sealant. Apply high temperature sealant to the engine and transmission mounting surface. This will help prevent oil leaks and vibration.
7. Install a new cushion. Place the new pad on the mounting surface and align the bolts.
8. Tighten the bolts. Use a socket and ratchet to tighten the bolts to the required torque. This point is usually indicated in the repair manual or on the packaging of the new pillow.
9. Lower the vehicle. Slowly lower the vehicle to the ground.
10. Check the tightness of the bolts. Use a wrench or torque wrench to double check that all bolts are tight.
