Instructions for removing the Hyundai Solaris automatic transmission:
1. Security:
* Place the vehicle on a lift or jack it up and place it on secure stands.
* Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery.
* Cool the engine by allowing it to cool.
2. Removing the air filter and battery:
* Disconnect the air filter connector.
*Remove the air filter.
* Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery.
*Remove the battery.
3. Removing the starter:
* Disconnect the starter connector.
* Loosen the starter mounting bolts and remove it.
4. Disconnecting the gearbox from the engine:
* Clean the transmission-to-engine mounting bolts.
* Unscrew the bolts securing the converter to the flywheel.
* Place the transmission fluid drain pan under the transmission.
* Loosen the bolts securing the gearbox to the engine.
5. Disconnecting the drive shafts from the gearbox:
* Disconnect the speed sensor wires from the right front wheel shaft.
*Use a front drive puller to remove the drive shafts from the transmission.
* Install plugs on the drive shafts to prevent transmission fluid leakage.
6. Removing the gearbox:
* Remove the remaining bolts securing the gearbox to the engine.
* While supporting the transmission from below, gently pull it back to disconnect it from the engine.
* Lower the gearbox to the floor.

*Assistance may be required to facilitate transmission removal.
* Replace all gaskets and seals when installing a new transmission.
* Fill the transmission with new transmission fluid after installation.
