Tools and materials:

* Wrench set
* Flat head screwdriver
* Toothed pulley (or special oil seal remover)
* New automatic transmission oil seal
* Transmission sealant
* Rags

Seal replacement procedure:

1. Turn off the power to the car. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
2. Drain the transmission fluid from the gearbox. To do this, find the drain plug at the base of the automatic transmission pan and unscrew it. Drain the liquid into a suitable container.
3. Remove the automatic transmission pan. Place a container under the tray to collect the remaining liquid. Loosen the bolts around the perimeter of the pan and remove it.
4. Find the oil seal. The oil seal is located in the recess of the pan, next to the drive shaft.
5. Remove the old oil seal. Use a toothed pulley or a special oil seal puller to remove the old oil seal from its recess. Be careful not to damage the drive shaft.
6. Clean the surface. Clean the surface around the recess from dirt and old sealant.
7. Apply new sealant. Apply a thin layer of transmission sealant to the outer edge of the new seal.
8. Install a new oil seal. Insert the new oil seal into the recess and press it into place. Use a mallet and a block of wood to avoid damaging the seal.
9. Install the automatic transmission pan. Reinstall the automatic transmission pan and tighten the bolts to the recommended torque.
10. Fill with transmission fluid. Fill the automatic transmission with as much transmission fluid as was drained. Check the fluid level and add if necessary.
11. Connect the negative terminal of the battery. Connect the negative terminal of the battery.
12. Start the engine and let it run. Drive the car in different gears to make sure there are no leaks.
