Speed selector
* P (Park): The lever is in the rearmost left position.
* R (Reverse): The lever is in the upper rear right position.
* N (Neutral): The lever is in the middle rear position.
* D (Drive): The lever is in the most forward position.
* S (Sport): The lever is held in position D and then moved to the right.
* M (Manual): The lever is located near the D position. Upshifting is accomplished by moving the lever forward (+), and downshifting is accomplished by moving the lever backward (-).

*P: Parking indicator
*R: Reverse indicator
* N: Neutral indicator
* D: Drive mode indicator
*S: Sports mode indicator
* M: Manual mode indicator (if equipped)
Additional modes
* L (Low): Hold the lever in position D and then move it forward. Used to increase torque at low speeds.
* B (Engine braking): The lever is held in position D and then moved to the right. Used to slow down the vehicle when driving downhill.
