Required tools and materials:

* New left drive oil seal
* Wrench set
* Screwdriver set
* Torque wrench
* Jack
* Recoil shoes
* Brake cleaner

Instructions:

1. Preparing the car

* Place wheel chocks behind the opposite wheel to the one you will be working on.
* Raise the front of the car with a jack.
* Remove the left front wheel.

2. Removing the drive

* Unscrew the hub nut and remove it.
* Disconnect the lower ball joint from the wheel hub.
* Unscrew the nuts securing the drive to the gearbox and remove the drive from the gearbox.

3. Removing the old oil seal

* Clean the old oil seal and the surrounding surface of the transmission with brake cleaner.
* Using a flathead screwdriver, carefully pry the edge of the oil seal and pull it out.

4. Installing a new oil seal

* Apply a small amount of transmission fluid to the new oil seal and insert it into the socket in the transmission.
* Drive the seal into the socket using a straight pin or driver. Make sure the seal is flush with the surface.

5. Drive installation

* Apply transmission fluid to the drive shaft splines.
* Insert the drive into the gearbox and tighten the mounting nuts. Tighten the nuts using a torque wrench to the torque specified in your vehicle’s service manual.
* Install the lower ball joint to the wheel hub.
* Install the hub nut and tighten it with a torque wrench.

6. Wheel installation

* Reinstall the left front wheel.
* Tighten the wheel nuts and lower the vehicle.
*Finally tighten the wheel nuts using a torque wrench according to the torque specified in your vehicle’s service manual.
