Controls:

* Gear Selector: This lever is used to select transmission modes including:
*P (Parking)
* R (Reverse)
* N (Neutral)
*D (Drive)
* M (Manual mode)

* Gear Selector Release Button: Located on the side of the gear selector and used to unlock it when necessary, such as when switching between P or R modes.

Operation under normal conditions:

1. Make sure the gear selector lever is in the P (Park) position.
2. Insert the key and turn it to the “Ignition” or “Engine Start” position.
3. Press the brake pedal.
4. Move the gear selector lever to the desired mode (usually D – Drive).
5. Release the brake pedal and the car will start moving.
6. To downshift when driving downhill or overtaking, move the gear selector to M (manual mode) and use the steering wheel paddle shifters to change gears.

Parking:

1. Stop the car and press the brake pedal.
2. Move the gear selector lever to P (Park).
3. Pull up the handbrake to lock the rear wheels.
4. Remove the key from the ignition switch.

Additional features:

* Eco mode: Some Mercedes-Benz models are equipped with Eco mode, which optimizes transmission performance to save fuel.
* Sport mode: This feature modifies the transmission, providing sharper shifts and quicker response to the accelerator pedal.
* Paddle shifters: Some models feature paddle shifters for manual gear shifting in M ​​mode.

Tips and Notes:

* Always depress the brake pedal before shifting the gear selector.
* Do not change the gear selector while driving.
* If possible, avoid shifting into neutral while driving.
* If the vehicle is on a steep slope, use the handbrake to prevent it from rolling away.
