Changing gears on a Toyota car with an automatic transmission

1. Parking position (P): Places the vehicle’s parking brake and locks the wheels. Use this position only when the vehicle is parked.
2. Reverse (R): Uses reverse to drive in reverse.
3. Neutral (N): Disconnects the transmission from the engine. Use this position when the vehicle is not moving, such as at traffic lights or when towing.
4. Drive (D): Main gear for forward movement.
5. Low Gear (L): Used to increase torque at low speeds or when driving on steep slopes.
6. Manual mode (+/-): Allows you to change gears manually.

To change gears:

1. Press the brake pedal.
2. Move the gear shift lever to the desired position.
3. Release the brake pedal and start driving.

Adviсe:

* Avoid shifting to neutral while driving. This may damage the transmission.
* Do not use low gear (L) at high speeds as this may damage the engine.
* When parking on a slope, be sure to apply the parking brake.
*Service the transmission regularly according to the manufacturer’s recommendations.
