Signs of automatic transmission torque converter failure:

* Gear Slip: The transmission slips during shifting or acceleration, resulting in loss of power and increased engine speed.
* Vibration: Severe vibration when driving, especially at low speeds or when accelerating.
*Noise or hum: Unusual noise or hum coming from the transmission may indicate wear or damage to the torque converter.
*Overheating: Transmission fluid overheats and fails, causing further damage.
* Gear shift delays: Delays or jerks when changing gears, especially from first to second or second to third.
*Transmission Fluid Leak: Red or brown fluid leaking from the transmission may indicate a torque converter leak.
*Low Transmission Fluid Level: Low fluid level may indicate a leak or internal damage to the torque converter.
* Burning Fluid Smell: A burning fluid smell from the transmission may indicate excessive wear or damage to the torque converter.
* Torque Converter Lockup Problems: The torque converter does not lock up at higher speeds, resulting in increased fuel consumption and reduced efficiency.
* Blade Severance: Torque converter impeller blades can become detached and cause serious damage to other transmission components.
