Location of the SsangYong New Actyon automatic transmission drain plug:
1. Raise the vehicle: Place the vehicle on a lift or use jacks to raise the front of the vehicle.
2. Find the automatic transmission: The automatic transmission is located at the bottom of the engine, in front of the front wheels.
3. Find the automatic transmission pan: The automatic transmission pan is usually made of metal and is bolted to the bottom of the automatic transmission.
4. Find the drain plug: The drain plug is located at the bottom of the automatic transmission pan. It has a 17mm hex key hole.
Replacement Instructions:
1. Gather the necessary tools: You will need a 17mm wrench, a new drain plug washer and clean automatic transmission oil.
2. Place a pan under the automatic transmission: Place an oil pan under the drain plug to catch the drained oil.
3. Loosen the drain plug: Using a 17mm wrench, carefully loosen the drain plug. Be careful as oil will start to leak out.
4. Drain the oil: Allow the oil to drain completely into the pan. This may take some time.
5. Replace the washer: Remove the old washer from the plug and replace it with a new one.
6. Tighten the drain plug: Tighten the drain plug with a 17mm wrench, but do not overtighten.
7. Add automatic transmission oil: Drain new automatic transmission oil through the automatic transmission filler tube. Check the oil level using the automatic transmission dipstick to make sure it is at the correct level.
8. Lower the vehicle: Lower the vehicle from the lift or remove the jacks.
