Automatic transmission modes:

* P (Park): Locks the transmission when the vehicle is stationary.
* R (Reverse): Shifts the vehicle into reverse.
* N (Neutral): Disengages the transmission, allowing the vehicle to roll.
* D (Drive): Main mode for normal driving. The transmission automatically changes gears depending on engine speed and load.
*S (Sport): Provides more aggressive shifting and higher engine speeds for improved performance.
* L (Low): Used for driving on steep slopes or towing.

3. From R to another mode: Press the brake pedal and wait until the car comes to a complete stop. Pull the shift lever up slightly (there is usually a release button), then move it to the desired mode.
4. From D or S to L: Depress the brake pedal and move the gear shift lever to the L position.
5. From L to D or S: Press the gas pedal to accelerate, and the gear shift lever will automatically move to D or S.
