Peugeot 308 automatic transmission torque converter oil seal

The automatic transmission torque converter oil seal is an important component that prevents transmission fluid from leaking. It is located between the torque converter and the automatic transmission housing.

Signs of a malfunctioning torque converter oil seal:

*Transmission fluid leaking under the car
* Transmission slipping or difficulty shifting gears
* Increased noise or vibration when shifting gears

Selection and replacement of the oil seal:

Choose an original or high-quality torque converter oil seal that matches your automatic transmission model. It is better to entrust the oil seal replacement to a qualified mechanic, since this requires removing the automatic transmission from the car.

Required materials:

* New torque converter oil seal
* Transmission fluid
* Sealant for gaskets
* Torque converter puller

Replacement procedure:

1. Drain the transmission fluid from the automatic transmission.
2. Remove the automatic transmission from the car.
3. Disconnect the torque converter from the automatic transmission housing.
4. Using a puller, remove the old torque converter oil seal.
5. Install the new oil seal by applying gasket sealant to the outer edge.
6. Reinstall the torque converter onto the automatic transmission housing.
7. Reinstall the automatic transmission on the car.
8. Fill with new transmission fluid.

Precautions:

* Use only the recommended transmission fluid for your automatic transmission.
* Maintain proper transmission fluid level after replacing the oil seal.
* Check the transmission fluid level a few days after the change to ensure there are no leaks.
