Mobile truck electrician
Job description:
* Diagnosis and troubleshooting of electrical systems of trucks.
* Repair and replace electrical components such as starters, alternators, batteries and wiring harnesses.
* Identify and eliminate current leaks, short circuits and other electrical problems.
* Installation and maintenance of additional electrical systems such as GPS systems, communications systems and security systems.
* Maintenance and repair of trailer electrical systems.
Required skills and qualifications:
* At least 3 years of experience as a truck electrician.
* Knowledge of operating principles of truck electrical systems.
* Diagnostics and troubleshooting skills.
* Experience with diagnostic equipment and testers.
* Ability to read electrical diagrams.
*Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
* Driver’s license and availability of your own vehicle to travel to the repair site.
Responsibilities:
* On-site visits to diagnose and repair faults in electrical systems of trucks.
* Communicate with customers to determine the nature of the faults and develop a repair plan.
* Ordering necessary spare parts and materials.
* Perform diagnostics and repairs in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions and industry standards.
* Documenting repair history and customer interactions.
* Maintaining cleanliness and order in the workplace.
