Electrical Wiring Requirements

*Voltage: 220-240VAC
*Frequency: 50-60Hz
* Rated current: Corresponds to power consumption (see table below)
* Wire type: Stranded copper
* Wire size: Determined by rated current (see table below)
* Insulation type: PVC or rubber
* Insulation color: For phase wire, brown, black or red is usually used; for the neutral wire – blue; for the ground wire – yellow-green

Requirements for protective devices

* Circuit breaker: Rated current corresponds to the rated current of the wiring (see table below)
* Residual current device (RCD): Leakage current no more than 30 mA

Socket Requirements

* Type: Euro socket with ground contact (type F)
* Rated current: Corresponds to the rated current of the wiring (see table below)
* Degree of protection: Minimum IP44 (protection against splashing water)

Plug requirements

* Type: Euro plug with ground pin (type F)
* Rated current: Corresponds to the rated current of the wiring (see table below)

Rated current table for washing machines

| Power Consumption (W) | Rated current (A) | Wire size (mm?) | Breaker Rated Current (A) | Socket Current Rating (A) |
|—|—|—|—|—|
| 1500-2000 | 7-9 | 1.5 | 10 | 16 |
| 2000-2500 | 9-11 | 2.5 | 16 | 25 |
| 2500-3000 | 11-13 | 4 | 20 | 32 |

Note:

* When specifying amperage ratings for outlets and switches, round to the nearest standard value.
*Always follow the manufacturer’s instructions for your specific washing machine.
