Job description:

An automotive electrical repair technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, servicing, and replacing electrical systems and components in automobiles.

Responsibilities:

* Diagnose and troubleshoot vehicle electrical systems such as lighting, ignition, charging and starting systems.
* Repair and replacement of electrical wiring, batteries, starters, generators, fuses and relays.
* Installation and configuration of electronic equipment such as stereo systems, navigation and alarm systems.
* Inspect and maintain electrical systems to ensure optimal performance and prevent breakdowns.
* Collaborate with other mechanics and technicians to perform comprehensive vehicle repairs.
* Compliance with all safety regulations and manufacturer requirements.
* Maintaining documentation of work performed and materials used.

Requirements:

* High school diploma or relevant experience in automotive electrical engineering.
* Excellent knowledge of the principles of operation of electrical systems of automobiles.
* Skills in diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical equipment.
* Experience in repairing and replacing automotive electrical components.
* Knowledge of electrical codes and standards.
* Proficiency with hand tools and diagnostic equipment.
*Strong problem solving and analytical thinking skills.
* Physical endurance and ability to work in a variety of conditions.
*Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

Desirable:

* Experience with hybrid and electric vehicles.
* Certificates for the repair of electrical equipment of automobiles.
* Knowledge of electrical circuits and electronics principles.
