Required materials:
* Wiring harness for trailer
* Trailer adapter (for older vehicles)
* Electrical tape
* Adjustable pliers
* Screwdriver
Instructions:
1. Preparing the car
*If your vehicle was manufactured before the mid-1990s, you may need a trailer adapter.
*Locate the standard trailer connector on the rear of the vehicle.
*If not, refer to your vehicle’s owner’s manual or consult a mechanic.
2. Trailer wiring harness connection
* Connect each wire in the wiring harness securely to the corresponding terminal on the trailer connector.
* Usually the wire colors are the same:
* Brown – tail light
* Green – right turn signal
* Yellow – left turn signal
* Red – brake lights
* White – earth
*Use pliers to crimp the contacts tightly.
* Insulate all connections with electrical tape.
3.Connect to car
*Take the other part of the wiring harness and connect it to the trailer adapter (if necessary) or directly to the trailer connector on the vehicle.
*Connect the ground wire to a metal bolt or vehicle chassis.
*Connect the other wires to the corresponding pins on the car connector.
* Re-insulate all connections.
4. Check
* Turn on the ignition in the car.
*Check that all trailer lights and signals are working.
*If there are any problems, check the connections and wiring.
5. Trailer installation
* Attach the trailer tongue to the hitch on the vehicle.
* Connect the electrical connector on the trailer to the connector on the vehicle.
* Make sure all trailer lights and signals are working properly.
