Automotive Electrician Skills and Responsibilities:
Technical Skills:
* Knowledge of car wiring diagrams
* Understanding of the operating principles of vehicle electrical systems
* Experience with diagnostic equipment and software
* Knowledge of various types of electronic systems and components
* Experience with high voltage systems
* Knowledge of lighting and alarm systems
* Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and manuals
Responsibilities:
* Diagnostics and troubleshooting of electrical systems of automobiles
* Repair and replacement of batteries, starters, generators and other electrical components
* Checking and servicing batteries and charging systems
* Installation and repair of electrical accessories and systems (navigation, audio systems, air conditioning)
* Resetting and reprogramming electronic modules and systems
* Maintenance and prevention work
* Preparation of documentation and reporting
Additional requirements:
* Diploma or Certificate in Electronics or Automotive Mechanics
* Minimum 2-3 years of experience as an automotive electrician
