1. Safety first:
* Park the vehicle on a level surface and apply the parking brake.
* Allow the engine to cool.
* Wear gloves to protect your hands.
2. Locate the leak:
* Check the oil pan and oil supply hose.
* General area around the gearbox.
3. Check the oil level:
* There are usually HOT and COLD markings on the dipstick. Place the dipstick in the dipstick hole and then pull it out.
*Look at the oil level on the dipstick.
4. Add oil:
* If the oil level is low, add special automatic transmission oil.
*Use a funnel to prevent oil spillage.
5. Start the engine:
* Start the engine and let it idle.
* Put the gearbox in different modes.
6. Check for leaks:
* Recheck the oil pan, oil supply hose and area around the transmission for leaks.
