Probe location:

1. Place the car on a level surface.

Oil level measurement process:

2. Wipe it with a clean cloth or paper towel.
3. Insert the dipstick back into the tube.
4. Pull the dipstick back and check the oil level on it.

Normal oil level:

* The oil level should be between the “MIN” and “MAX” marks on the dipstick.

If the oil level is low:

*Add the manufacturer’s recommended type of automatic transmission fluid (ATF).
*Using the wrong type of ATF may damage the transmission.
* After adding oil, check the level again to make sure it is correct.

If the oil level is high:

* Drain excess oil from the gearbox.
*High oil levels can cause foaming and reduce transmission performance.

Notes:

* Check the automatic transmission oil level every 10,000-15,000 km or more often if you drive the car in difficult conditions.
* Do not add too much oil as this may cause problems with the gearbox.
*If you are unsure about the correct oil level or are experiencing transmission problems, consult a qualified mechanic.
