Design and operating principle
* The sensor consists of a coil with winding, a core and a housing.
* When electric current is applied to the coil winding, an electromagnetic field is created that attracts the core.
* The position of the core is controlled by a mechanically coupled gear shift system.

* Gear selector position sensor: Detects the position of the gear selector and reports this to the automatic transmission control unit.

* Speed sensor: Detects the speed of the vehicle and reports this to the automatic transmission control unit, which then selects the optimal gear.
*Transmission Fluid Temperature Sensor: Detects the temperature of the transmission fluid and reports this to the automatic transmission control unit, which can regulate clutch pressure to prevent overheating.
