The Skoda Fabia has never been equipped with an automatic transmission with a torque converter. Instead, it is available with two types of automatic transmissions:
* DSG (Dual Clutch Gearbox)
* Classic hydromechanical automatic transmission
Classic hydromechanical automatic transmissions use a torque converter, while the DSG uses two clutches that allow you to change gears without interrupting the power flow.
