The K2 piston in the 09G automatic transmission is responsible for controlling the pressure in the system. It performs the following functions:

* Pressure Modulation: The K2 piston moves under hydraulic pressure, changing the size of the holes through which hydraulic fluid flows. This regulates the pressure in the various passages of the transmission, ensuring that gears engage and disengage accordingly.
*Fluid Flow Direction: The K2 piston also directs hydraulic fluid to various valves and passages to ensure consistent and smooth shifting.
* Pressure Maintenance: The K2 piston helps maintain the required pressure in the system, preventing it from falling or rising to unacceptable levels.
* Anti-slip: The K2 piston helps prevent gear slip by providing sufficient pressure to reliably transfer power from the engine to the transmission.
*Transmission Cooling: Hydraulic fluid circulating through the K2 piston helps conduct heat away from other transmission components, helping to cool the transmission.
