Noises and vibrations:

* Humming or whining, especially when cornering or accelerating
* Vibrations transmitted through the steering wheel or floor mat

Wheel slip:

* Wheel slipping when starting or accelerating
* Wheel slip when entering a turn

Difficulty shifting gears:

* Slow or difficult gear shifting
* Knocks or jolts when shifting gears

Fluid leaks:

* Transmission fluid leaks from the differential or transmission housing

Suspicious smell:

* Burnt oil or rubber smell indicating excessive heat or wear

Other signs:

* Increased fuel consumption
* Reduced traction characteristics of the vehicle
* Grinding or clicking noise when turning
