Steps to change the oil in a Suzuki transfer case with an automatic transmission:

Materials:

* Transfer case oil corresponding to the vehicle manufacturer and model
* Drain plug gasket
* Funnel
* Wrench or screwdriver

Steps:

1. Raise the car. Use a lift or jacks to raise the vehicle and provide access to the underbody.

2. Locate the transfer case drain hole. It is usually located on the bottom of the transfer case.

3. Drain the old oil. Place a container under the drain hole and remove the plug. Let the oil drain into the container.

4. Clean the drain plug. Clean the drain plug of any sediment or debris. Replace the gasket with a new one.

5. Tighten the drain plug. Tighten the drain plug to the correct torque specified in your vehicle’s service manual.

6. Locate the transfer case filler hole. It is usually located on the top of the transfer case.

7. Add new oil. Use a funnel to pour new oil into the transfer case.

8. Check the oil level. After filling the oil, check the level using the dipstick or inspection hole (if equipped). The oil level should be at the ‘full’ or ‘hot’ mark.

9. Lower the vehicle. Slowly lower the vehicle by removing the jacks or lift.

10. Reset the transfer case oil change counter. If your vehicle is equipped with an oil life monitoring system, reset the counter according to the instructions in your vehicle’s service manual.

Note:

* Transfer case oil change intervals may vary depending on the vehicle manufacturer and model. Consult your vehicle’s service manual to determine the recommended interval.
*Use only transfer case oil that meets the vehicle manufacturer’s specifications.
