Step 1: Check that the vehicle is in Park (P) position.

* Locate the gear shift lever on the center console.
* Move the lever to the leftmost position to enter parking mode.

Step 2: Press the brake pedal.

* Press the brake pedal firmly with your right foot.

Step 3: Place the shift lever in drive mode.

* Move the gear shift lever to the ‘Drive’ (D) or ‘Reverse’ (R) position, depending on the desired driving direction.
*On some vehicles, the gear shift lever may be protected by a button or lock. Press the button or release the lock to move the lever to the desired position.

Step 4: Release the brake pedal.

* Slowly release the brake pedal.

Step 5: Press the gas pedal.

*Press the gas pedal with your right foot to start driving.
* Do not press the gas pedal too hard as this may cause you to lose traction.

Additional tips:

* Make sure your engine is running.
*If the vehicle is not moving, make sure the brake pedal is fully depressed.
* If the gear shift lever is stuck, try rocking it slightly from side to side.
*Do not use Parking Mode (P) as a parking brake.
*Refer to your owner’s manual for specific instructions specific to your vehicle.
