Recommended replacement intervals:

* Every 60,000-90,000 km
* Or every 2-3 years

Filter types:

* Coarse filter
* Fine filter

Filter location:

* Inside the automatic transmission pan

Required tools and materials:

* New automatic transmission filter
* Automatic transmission pan gasket
* Automatic transmission fluid (type ATF+4)
* Car repair tool set
* Lift or jack

Replacement procedure:

1. Raise the car on a lift or jack it up. Set the car to the parking brake.
2. Drain the automatic transmission fluid. Unscrew the drain plug on the automatic transmission pan and drain the fluid into a container.
3. Remove the automatic transmission pan. Unscrew the bolts securing the pan and carefully remove it.
4. Remove the old coarse filter. It is located in the automatic transmission pan.
5. Clean the tray and magnet. Remove all remaining oil and metal from the pan and magnet.
6. Install a new coarse filter. Place the new filter in the tray and secure it.
7. Install a new fine filter. The fine filter is usually located inside the automatic transmission housing. Removing the old filter and installing the new one may require removing some parts of the housing.
8. Install the automatic transmission pan. Apply a new gasket to the pan and install it in place. Tighten the bolts.
9. Fill with new automatic transmission fluid. Fill the automatic transmission with the recommended amount of new automatic transmission fluid.
10. Start the engine and check the fluid level. Start the engine and let it idle. Check the fluid level on the automatic transmission dipstick and add if necessary.

Notes:

* Use only automatic transmission fluids recommended by the manufacturer.
* It is recommended to change the automatic transmission filter along with changing the fluid.
