Honda Transmission Control

P (Parking)

*Used for car parking.
* Blocks transmission output shafts.
* Changing to position P is only possible when the vehicle is completely stopped.

R (Reverse)

* Turns on only when the car is completely stopped.
* Allows the car to move backwards.

N (Neutral)

* Neutral position in which the transmission is not engaged.
* The car can roll freely.

D (Motion)

* Basic driving mode.
* The transmission automatically shifts between gears depending on engine speed and load.

S (Sport)

*Holds downshift for improved acceleration and dynamics.
* Suitable for overtaking or driving on hills.

L (Low gear)

*Used for driving at very low speeds or when driving with a heavy load.
* Usually limited to first or second gear.

+/- (Manual mode)

* Allows you to manually change gears using the gear lever or steering wheel paddles.
* To downshift, push the lever forward (+).
* To shift to a higher gear, push the lever back (-).

Parking lock

* A button or lever located on the gear shift lever.
* You must press a button or pull a lever to move the lever from the P position.
* Parking lock prevents accidental activation of other modes.

Management Tips

*Only switch between modes when the vehicle is at a complete stop, unless otherwise instructed.
* Avoid sudden gear changes.
* Do not downshift at high speed as this may cause the wheels to lock.
* Use manual mode for better control in special situations such as driving on steep slopes or overtaking.
* Maintain your transmission regularly to ensure optimal performance.
