Position P (park)

* Holds the car in place when the engine is turned off.
* Gearbox is locked.

Position R (reverse)

* Includes reverse gear.
* Switching is only possible when the vehicle is completely stopped.

Position N (neutral)

* Gearbox is not engaged.
* The engine can run at idle speed.

Position D (forward movement)

*Enables normal forward mode.
* Gear shifting occurs automatically.

Position M (manual mode)

* Allows you to manually change gears.
* Shifting to a higher gear is carried out by pressing the “+” button on the automatic transmission handle.
* Switching to a lower gear is carried out by pressing the “-” button on the automatic transmission handle.

“+/-” position

* Use when towing or going downhill.
* Allows you to lock the current gear or switch between it and the next higher or lower gear.
