Materials:
* Automatic transmission radiator pipe
* Sealant for automatic transmission
* Tool set
Procedure:
1. Preparation
* Place the car on a level surface.
* Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery.
* Drain the automatic transmission fluid through the drain plug.
2. Removing the old tube
* Disconnect the cooling hoses from the old tube. Use a flathead screwdriver or pliers to remove the clamps.
* Unscrew the bolts that secure the tube to the automatic transmission radiator.
* Remove the tube from the radiator.
3. Installing a new handset
* Apply a thin layer of sealant to the O-ring of the new tube.
* Insert a new tube into the automatic transmission radiator.
* Secure the tube with bolts.
* Connect the cooling hoses to the pipe and tighten the clamps.
4. Filling the automatic transmission with fluid
* Fill the automatic transmission fluid through the filler plug.
* The fluid level should be between the «Min» and «Max» marks on the dipstick.
* Connect the negative terminal of the battery.
5. Leak test
* Start the engine and let it idle.
* Check the cooling hoses and connections for leaks.
*Add automatic transmission fluid if necessary.
Adviсe:
* Use only the automatic transmission radiator tube recommended by the manufacturer.
* Clean the surface of the automatic transmission radiator from dirt or debris before installing a new tube.
*Tighten bolts to proper torque per manufacturer’s specifications.
* When filling automatic transmission fluid, use a funnel to prevent air from entering the system.
* Check the automatic transmission fluid level regularly, especially after replacing the tube.
